Issues
of isolation, the “other”, role models, society labels, love, lust,
loss, etc. are topics I include in my work. I respond directly to
the environment I see unfolding in front of me daily. I use the
printed media as a tool, spark, and inspiration to connect with an
issue in order for the viewer to critically consider the “other”
side. I find a common thread, drawing on familiarity, as a
lure to capture the viewers’ attention in order to offer another way of
looking at things in the world around us. I not only seek to
challenge people’s view(s) but also offer various situations,
scenarios, and/or questions that have a profound effect on what is
assumed.
